Students are introduced to playing hands together early so they develop an initial strength in both hands not one.

Learning incorporates multi sensory approach so all learning styles are supported.

Students are introduced to a variety of musicianship skills (aural, transposing, playing by ear, reading musical scores), so when the complete the course they have a variety of skills beyond just reading and playing.
The Key Elements of the Primary Series Program are:

Finger Zips – small pieces that develop keyboard skills on a micro level;

Repertoire Pieces – solo performance pieces;

Ensembles – to develop part-playing skills, group interaction and team playing;

Finger Taps – these confirm finger numbers and develop finger sequencing concepts;

Rhythm Taps – two part rhythm reading and coordination;

Flash Cards – a proven way to reinforce concepts and develop reading skills; and

Backing Tracks – these provide an aural model and excite the student’s imagination.
